Designed to introduce nursery children to ball skills and movement drills relevant to the game of tennis.
(5 – 8 y/o girls)
An introduction to tennis for girls played indoors and incorporating dancing, games and activities designed to teach the basics of tennis.
(5 – 10 y/o)
Played on smaller courts with shorter rackets and softer balls, mini tennis allows players to develop a rounded game whilst learning a range of techniques and tactics.
(11 – 18 y/o)
Played on a full court with full-compression yellow balls, helping players develop and improve all aspects of their game.
Fun, sociable group fitness classes set on a tennis court and open to players of all ages and abilities.
Beginner adult introductory coaching course for players who want to learn the basics of the sport. It's game based coaching suitable for beginners or those coming back to tennis after a long break.
Our Ladies and Gents teams undertake pre-season coaching sessions focusing on tactics to help maximise team performance.
Our team of coaches are available for one to one lessons, based on players’ individual requirements.
Meet the team
Carol Milne - Head Coach
Carol Milne is a Level 3 Coach with over 12 years’ coaching experience and she specialises in mini tennis and the development of the girls at the club. Carol still plays competitive tennis and has represented Scotland at her age group and also plays regularly at County Level.
For individual lessons Carol charges £20 per hour (discount applied for block booking).
Andrew is a Level 4 Coach and has been qualified for over 12 years. As well as specialising in mini tennis he is currently Disability Tennis Development Manager for Scotland with responsibility for developing and supporting disability tennis players from grass roots up to the highest performance level across the country.
Andrew is available for individual lessons at a cost of £25 per hour (discount applied for block booking).
Euan Smith is a Level 4 Performance Coach with over 10 years’ coaching experience. He is a former West of Scotland Junior County player and has years of experience competing in Junior and Senior competitions.
Euan specialises in junior tennis but also coaches adults and is available for individual lessons, charging £28 per hour (with discount for block bookings).
John is a Level 4 Professional, with considerable experience which includes coaching many county and international players and he has been an assistant county and national coach. He coaches across all age groups, including adult, and is available for individual coaching.
Peter is a Level 3 Coach with 6 years’ coaching experience. He is the Junior Development Manager at the club and coaches across all age groups, including adult. Peter specialises in running the Tennis Xpress and Cardio Tennis classes.
Peter is available for individual lessons at a cost of £18 per hour (discount applied for block booking).
